NIDAAN
A multi-media Dance Drama on AIDS awareness, Nidan was organized on Friday, 8th April 2005 at Kamani Auditorium. The program had the following issues to propagate:
That ‘prevention is the only cure’ was emphasized alongwith the ways to prevent the spread & infection was depicted.
The overall message was that we should and must fight the scourge of AIDS, but that in doing so we must not ostracize those who have become its victims.
It also puts forward a question, how are the children to blame who contact infection before being able to comprehend what it means.
LITERACY PROGRAM
Garuda conducted classes for WATER, the NGO, for lower segment working women to eliminate illiteracy in the rural areas of Uttranchal. The classes were conducted free of cost in the evening to suit the timings of women.

Prevention of Transmission from Parent to Child of HIV/AIDS (P.P.T.C.T) for Bihar State AIDS Control Society was a rural outreach program undertaken in two phases. First, from 18.12.2005 to 20.12.2005 and again from 13.06.2006 to 23.06.2006. Garuda covered all the 38 districts in the state and reached out to ten villages in each district. The targeted population for HIV testing during the campaign was of at least 20 pregnant women/day and from a village having population of minimum 4000. The objective of this program was:
To generate awareness on HIV/AIDS among the rural pregnant women.
To provide HIV testing facility at the doorstep.
To provide ANC services with IFA tablet and TT injection to the rural pregnant women.
